How to Form a Habit.
Many peole seek to break habits. However, learning to form new habits can be very benificial. Consider creating a habit of excercising every day, or a habit of eating only healthy foods. Those would be very benificial habits, would they not?
Creating a habit is easy. It takes no thought at all. Infact, it is the absense of thought the creates the habit! Habits generally take 30 days to form and solidify, so just be aware of that. Now on to the method.
- First you must pick you habit and be specific.
- Habits are never complex things. Smoking, overeating, oversleeping are all very specific. Your habit need to do likewise.
- Set a specific time to do your habit
- You need to remove all thought from the thing you want to be habit. Setting a specific time helps remove thought.
- Dont think about it, just do it!
- Like Nike “Just do it”. If you want to work out every morning, just get right out of bed and start working out. Dont let you brain have the chance to tell you you dont want to. Just Do it.
- Be consistent
- You must do your habit everyday, at the same time
Those are the steps. They are all really easy. The MOST IMPORTANT thing you need to remember is to NOT think about it. A habit is a mindless action. You need to create a state of mindlessness when you create a habit. Eentually, not less that 30 days and usually not more either, you will have created a habit.
