5 Minute Abs??
I’m sure you have all heard the phrase “5 Minute Abs!” and thought, yeah right. However, there may be some truth to it. Recent studies have shown that getting that slim waist and 6 pack may have much more to do with the frequency you work your abs as opposed to the amount of time in each workout.
It appears that working your abs more frequently, but for less time may yield more results than lumping all the time into one workout. Simply put, do 5 minuts of ab work multiple times a day.
The key to ab workouts is repetition. The more times you do an ab workout the more impact it has. Like any other muscle the abs have to rest sometimes, but unlike other muscles, you can work you abs multiple times in a day.
You may not be able to do 200 sit ups in a row, or even in one workout, but i bet you can take a few minutes 10 times a day to do 20. Idealy you would want to space them out throughout the day as to keep your abs working all day, but you can do them in a shorter amount of time as well. You can take a couple hours while your watching T.V or reading or whatever ells you do to unwide and intersperse some sit ups, side bends, or leg raises.
Like any other workout routine this requires dedication. Only doing this one or two times a week probably wont show you much results, but doing them every day will definitely give you something to feel good about.
